Meditate by Letting Your Mind Be As It Is

In this video, Mingyur Rinpoche discusses the true nature of the mind. No matter what we experience, it always appears within our awareness. This awareness has no limitations and can hold anything and everything we encounter – whether pleasant or painful, happy or sad, or anything in between. During the practice of meditation, the most important point is to simply be as you are, without doing anything extra.

Reflection Question

  • Does reflecting on the way Mingyur Rinpoche is presenting mind and awareness impact your everyday experience, if so, how? And what happens when you contemplate awareness as unchanging like a mountain and clear like the sky?
