Course opens October 5 and is included as part of your Joy of Living subscription.
This course is designed to take about six weeks, but feel free to learn at your own pace.
Opening the Heart
At the heart of practicing joy is cultivating appreciation and gratitude, not only for your own well-being, but also the well-being of others. This approach challenges many human instincts, such as negativity bias. The practices outlined in this course help to fundamentally reconfigure how you view and experience yourself and the world.
As with the courses on love and compassion, you will explore practicing joy through a step-by-step approach. You will most likely face some challenging emotions, such as jealousy, when engaging in these practices. This is completely natural. However, as you continue along in the process, you will eventually open your heart and appreciate the quality of joy in all beings.
In addition to profound meditation instructions, this course is filled with anecdotes and stories from Mingyur Rinpoche about how he brings these practices into his own life.
